Made to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary, Suntory Royal includes whiskies from Chita, Yamazaki and Hakushu. A rare sight in Australia, expect a lighter bodied blend for delicious everyday drinking. Beautifully presented in a glass decanter.

Nose: Licorice, oak, lemon and banana. Some macadamia nuttiness.

Palate: Very creamy but with that hint of lemon bitterness. Macadamia nut, licorice, banana, nutmeg.

Finish: Smooth, soft grain, creamy nuts, licorice, lemon and some salty zing on the tongue.

Royal系列 = Suntory之父最後之作

1960年，為記念Suntory（寿屋）創業60年，Suntory創辦人鳥井信治郎監修了Royal系列，此系列是鳥井信治郎以長年釀造威士忌之經驗調出，其本人稱之為香、味、色達至黃金比的作品。

酒樽是漢字「酉」的造形，也是鳥居先生之姓，日本「鳥居」（即是神社門前能見到，紅色「开」字造型之建築）的造型。

這款是90年代開始發售的15年版。15年是Royal系列中最高年份的一款，而Gold Label是當時送禮用的版本。此作早年已經停產。

此作以山崎15年雪莉酒作酒膽再調和其他原酒而成，喜歡雪莉酒桶的朋友可以一試。酒評家對此作評價的最大特徵是「非常順滑」。

Tasting Note:

入口有微微薄荷味、有舊式山崎雪莉酒桶味，香氣複雜具層次，油脂感豐富而厚實，簡單但很到位的口感，餘韻非常漫長複雜，豐富橡木味、黑朱古力、奶油味
